Action-packed open world game

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is the sequel to Ubisoft's paid action-packed game, The Division. Although this spin-off series did not receive as much initial acclaim as some of the other games in the Tom Clancy series, this sequel promises to deliver more firepower, enhanced maps, and new missions to complete.

In Tom Clancy's The Division 2, players will lead a team of highly-skilled agents in a post-pandemic Washington, D.C., to prevent the city's collapse. The game allows players to team up with friends and fight against others in competitive PVP mode or work together in online co-op mode.

Getting your gang together

This time around, up to four friends can gather together in Tom Clancy's The Division 2 to complete missions and take out the bad guys. This is a real boon for buddies to want to hang out and blow things up while bonding a little. However, the downside is that in comparison, the solo-player missions can feel a little bit bland and leave gamers wanting more.

You can also enjoy a more feature-packed version of the game with the Ultimate Edition expansion pack which comprises the base game, the Warlords of New York expansion, a level 30 boost for an immediate start in the Warlords of New York campaign, all six endgame specializations, eight classified assignments missions, and exclusive Battleworn Secret Service, First Responder, and Elite Agent packs, an exclusive emote, and outfit.

Completing the mission

The creators of Tom Clancy's The Division 2 listened carefully to the criticism that they received regarding the original game and learned from their mistakes. Although many of the missions tend to feel rather similar to each other and the way that the bad guys behave is all too predictable, the stunning graphics and open worlds that players get to explore help to make up for this, while the new weapons really pack a punch.

The game's structure indicates the presence of an endgame, and although it may not be fully developed, there is a significant amount of content available for players who take their time rather than rushing through it. Still, its gameplay offers a lot of opportunities for players to explore and battle among vthemselves or alone. It's also packed with tons of upgrades.

An excellent follow-up

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 allows up to four players to team up and complete missions together, which is great for socializing and having fun. However, this makes the solo-player missions seem lackluster in comparison. Although the missions are repetitive and the enemies are predictable, the game's graphics and open-world structure are stunning, and the new weapons are impressive. It has a significant amount of content for players who take their time.

PROS

  • Exciting open environments to explore
  • New weapons to choose from

CONS

  • Missions are rather formulaic
  • Solo play can be dull
